SmartLog (i-SENS)

I’ve had intermittent blood sugar issues since my last pregnancy, occasional spikes and dips in blood sugar, not diabetes, as of yet, since my A1C was at 5.3 two weeks ago, so my glucometer is only used once in a while. I had to test today, and in attempting to open the app so that the reading on my glucometer would sync, I found that the app will NOT open. I get the quick, split second blip of the app icon on my screen as if the app is loading, for just that split second, before it disappears and the app doesn’t open. It doesn’t show up in the open apps so I know it’s not opening at all. I specifically paid extra to buy a Bluetooth glucometer out of pocket to be able to track these weird spikes and dips in my blood sugar because it’s difficult when you’re talking about weeks in between these anomalies, so this I a problem for me that this app is essentially GONE. I can’t even access what I’ve already logged. This is unacceptable.

We don’t like dissing App Developers, but this App deserves every negative Review it has gotten thus far. The Developers of this App are fully aware of how awkward and unreliable this App is, even if they won’t admit it. Any so-called Bug Fixes don’t seem to improve anything. A Health related App important as something like this, should not be released until it has been relentlessly tested. Do not rely on this App to save your stats/data, or to consistently sync with any assurance. Apparently the Company doesn’t want to invest enough funds into developing a reliable and User friendly App. Frustrating :-\

At first, it was somewhat of complicating look when I started using it a month ago. And then when they updated, it got so much easier. AND THEY UPDATED THE KETONE AND GKI! Also, the trend graph is just fun to look at :) One recommendation that I want to give is that synchronization to the server ID is actually pretty important. If you don’t make an ID to their server, and you happened to switch phone or delete app and reinstall, all your data gets disappeared. But if you make an ID to their server, all you gotta do is to log in and that’s it! All the data are back :)
