I was happy for the first three days when my data was working and I was charged $10. They have a toggle switch on the data that says “turn travel mode off”, claiming this is how you stop auto renewal of the data. I pushed this on the first cycle and was charged for a second cycle. I then figured I may have made a mistake and pushed the off switch for the auto renewal again, but I was charged a third cycle 3 days later. I Googled how to cancel my subscription, and everything (including official maya mobile pages) were telling me to click on buttons that were not in my app to cancel it (I’m 22 and work at a tech company, so not understanding how to work an app is not my issue here). I’ve spent over an hour trying to figure out how to cancel and messaged Maya support. I’ve been charged $30 when I only wanted to be charged $10. This is clearly intentional on the side of Maya, and I am disappointed in this non-transparent company. Next time I will buy an eSIM from another provider.
I was skeptical coming into it, but this ended up being 2 weeks of unlimited for cheaper than 2 weeks of limited data through Saily. And the unlimited data was actually solid rather than slow. This'll be my preferred eSim for Europe trips if Saily remains expensive
