Workouts are solid. Some videos don’t capture the entire movements. but the written summaries make up for it. Tech is needed to ensure the app works. Once again the app isn’t working.
I’ve been doing Mark and Lauren’s programs for years. They were always worth the price. I saw way more gains following their programs than I ever did in the ten years prior of just winging it. This app is amazing because you can do so many different programs as your needs change. And all of the recipes, meals, etc. It is an amazing deal. If you are the type of person who doesn’t like to wing it and you want to see consistent progress, this is the best deal I’ve seen on anything like this. And it’s actual quality content unlike most of the fitness apps out there.
I had always loved Mark & Lauren’s programs, so I was really excited when they announced they were coming out with a new app. They created a lot of hype around the app on social media and in emails. I joined the group to get early release details and was able to get in with their biggest discount on the first round. I signed up for 3 months at a discounted price of $136. Then we were told it still hadn’t been approved by the App Store. After waiting over 2 more weeks, the app was finally released and it was incredibly disappointing. Everything was glitching, NOTHING was working right. I understand with any new release there will be some bumps in the road and constant updates needed to make it better/more user friendly. But I question if the app was tested by real users at all before release. Ultimately, since it was unusable to me, I ended up emailing customer service, canceling, and requesting a refund. I was told I would get a refund within “a couple of days”. That was nearly a month ago. After emailing customer service two more times to inquire about a refund, I was told the “technical team is looking into it.” So now I have an unusable app, and still no refund. I will continue using Mark’s guides I’ve purchased in the past because there truly is some great education and programming in there, but this new app definitely was a disappointment for the Mark Carroll/Lauren Simpson brand.
