Lots of room for improvement. Every simple function doesn't seem to just work the first few times. Saving manual modem name, fails. Trying skip step, and use the default modem name fails. Updating login password during initial setup fails even though it meets password requirements and has two ticks. Updating login password after keeping the default password during setup just hangs. Force close and it seems to have accepted the new password. Once finally set up, it seems to be functioning well. However at this point we don’t really need to log in anymore.
This app is frustrating for anyone who knows what they’re doing, and not insightful enough for anyone who doesn’t. After initially setting it up, the app could no longer be accessed. I ended up just logging into the web interface instead, using the routers IP address. From what little time I got to try using the app, I didn’t get much of a chance to look into any of the features, but from what I remembered seeing, it didn’t allow much configuration, re: changing the subnet IP, bridging, or even changing the broadcast SSID. Changing the password to log into the interface simply wasn’t allowing a change to be made, despite fulfilling all of the requirements required for a strong password. It just became frustration after frustration. There are probably dozens more problems that I would have discovered, before I decided to delete the app. Save yourself the torment, and just use the web interface. The app just becomes a hindrance.
I don’t write reviews but after struggling so much with this useless app I’m not sure why it even exists. It has horrible setup (and by the countless other one star reviews you could probably tell where im going with this) and tells you how to plug in your wifi like I’m a child that doesn’t know how, and that’s about it! Next thing I know, no matter what device i try to open the app on, it ‘can’t connect to the modem’ even though the wifi is running perfect and can no longer access or edit anything or connect my extension because the app simply refuses to connect to the modem no matter what I try. I bought my modem and wifi plan very recently, this isn’t an ‘old technology’ issue. It’s 2025 Vodafone, this feels like I’m dealing with faulty 2010’s software, wake up.
