I was initially offered a trial for premium features tied to a yearly subscription. However, after the trial period, I was effectively locked into maintaining the premium plan, as the platform does not allow users to downgrade to a cheaper option. As a result, I was charged $149 for the year without a clear or accessible path to select a more suitable plan. I missed the charge on my card, and none HomiQ, because I was away on vacation; which is why I bought a camera for my aquarium. When I contacted customer support, I was informed that any change to a lower-cost or monthly subscription would require escalation to their engineering team. Unfortunately, no immediate resolution was provided, and my request for a refund was denied on the basis that the charge exceeded their two-day refund window. Overall, the experience felt restrictive and lacked transparency regarding subscription flexibility and customer support resolution.
