So the other reviews are not too far off on this. Yes the app is severely lacking in several areas. 1.types of fish you can add to your tank set up if you are trying to customize. 2.It’s lacking in available equipment you can add..heavily bias on the Aqueon products but they don’t have any other real competitors; like fluval, coralife, etc. (marketing ploy)3. The custom light schedule is almost useless. Other than having set times for day light, dawn, night, overnight that’s is. No option to customize the intensity of white or blue light at all like in the preset. That doesn’t make sense if I’m setting a custom time for dawn maybe I want the blue to be less than the white for a more natural feel/look. This applies to if the tank is fresh or saltwater. If I have fresh water i would like more white than blue light, opposite for saltwater. Corals and the like need a more blue leaning light wave to have facilitate health and growth. I’m stuck with my setups since they are bio cubes so new light is not an option. Just hope someone in the R/D lab of the app read this and take some hints..won’t hold my breath.

Schedules stop working if a power outage affects a mesh network and the device connects to another node in the network. But you can manually push the update so it should be fixable?

Have had the biocube for 2 months and haven’t been able to connect to WiFi. My WiFi router is literally on top of the tank so I can’t get any closer. Then when I try, it only allows it to connect via one device. People have multiple devices, who cares if it’s on multiple?? Now I can’t even use Bluetooth because I can’t reset it. I’ve lost hours of my life pushing down the reset, deleting the app, restarting my phone. All those things. Totally ruining my biocube experience. This is my second biocube and wish this had a manual feature to schedule.
