I’m on level 1091 so have definitely been playing a while. In the meantime I’ve downloaded and tried a lot of other iPhone games and I gotta say I keep coming back to this one. Yes it has ads but they’re not exasperating and there’s a predictable rhythm to them. I haven’t spent any actual money on it but will always have coins and special powers. Picky people will say it is boring because the levels are basically just always the same. But to me that predictability has become a great way to regulate my nervous system. And that’s really the reason I play games in the first place. To relax. So definitely will continue to rely on this one.
I finally found a game I really love and can just unwind and relax to while playing! I LOVE how they recently removed the time limit! That made that game stressful and I didn’t want that. A few constructive criticisms that I believe would help improve the game even more is #1: please do away with those bombs! They ruin the relaxation of the game. I literally don’t even want to deal with them and I don’t think anyone else does either. And #2: consistency of levels would be great! What do I mean? I mean one level I can play and breeze through and relax while the next time I have to watch an ad after every move to reset the board. That totally ruins it for me and makes me not even want to play anymore. Please come up with some way to make sure that doesn’t happen. Again, it ruins the relaxation.
The ad says this game is designed for seniors. At 55, I barely qualify, but I have carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis in many finger joints, and my vision isn’t what it used to be. I was pleased that there really were no time limits on the levels, but once I hit level 20, the game introduced “bombs,” that explode and end your attempt at a level if you can’t eliminate them within a certain number of moves - which took all the relaxed easiness out of the game. Also at level 20, the board became larger, meaning it had more vases, but since my phone screen didn’t grow to fit it, the flowers got much smaller and harder to distinguish. Last, but not least, the game is unforgiving about where you drag the flowers. If you’re not dead on the spot in the vase where you want to put it, then the flower snaps back to its previous location, and you have to try again. This becomes frustrating very quickly. There’s no good reason for this demand for precision, and in a game actively marketed towards seniors, it’s just rude.
