Crumb: Keeping Your Pets Safe

We found this app on Instagram bc Crumb paid to sponsor an ad for a promo that stated to only pay shipping to get a free tag. Per their requirements of one tag per customer, I myself ordered one tag and my partner ordered one tag. We were both charged for the shipping. Didn’t mind! We easily activated the tags and learned we have to pay a subscription fee which can be cancelled at any time. Again, we didn’t mind! Then as I moved onto the other tag, we found that I cannot use my login/app to activate the dog tag that my partner ordered. Mind you, we had to place separate orders per their promo requirements. Still didn’t mind. I then ordered two more tags through my acct and was charged for two tags, shipping, and two extra subscription fees. That’s when I started to get frustrated about all of the hidden charges. I only knew about the charges, because I checked the invoices through their app and saw all of the separate charges. So I emailed them stating what had happened and that I want to cancel the two tags I just ordered that way they can be used for other pets and requested a refund. I did not get a refund. I did not get the tags. A week later I emailed them and recieved an unacceptable response which has led me to write this review. The app is legit. Customer service needs a attitude check.

I have two microchipped mini schnauzers. I’ve never had either of them go missing, but it has always bothered me that if one ever did go missing, I’d have to hope that the person finding my precious pet would take him to a vet to see if he was microchipped. That takes time, gas and the willingness of the finder to do these things. With Crumb, just a scan of the tag provides instant pet identification and owner information. I can also enable instant lost pet notifications and so much more through the Crumb app. The Crumb pet tag is a much better way to quickly reunite with your pet. There is a monthly fee, but for the peace of mind I get having Crumb, it’s worth the price. AND as a premium member, I get free replacements tags if needed.

So I ordered tags for all 3 of my dogs got 1 tag and when I reached out was told I didn’t order 3 tags that I only ordered 1. I wish would have taken a screenshot of the order because there were 3 dog’s names on the order. If this was all that went wrong I wouldn’t be writing this but then when activating the one tag I get a push notification that pops up from my bank and I immediately log on to the bank to find out what it was cause I’m not purchasing anything and to my surprise I was charged from the app for a monthly subscription fee. I did not enter my card information in the app so they took the information from my order and changed me the fee without anything in the app informing me to a charge. Mind you I did not order my tags from the app I got them from a web site. At this point I’m so frustrated with the whole process that I’m not even sure I will use the 1 tag I do have and I’m not ordering anything else. I did cancel the subscription and if I’m charged next month after canceling I’ll file fraud charges with my bank.
