Underwatermelon: Fruit Merge

When I play other fruit merge games they are hard and not satisfying, but when I play this game it is super hard and satisfying! I think it is hard to find a game fun and really hard at the same time! I also love the cartoon fruits, I love the peach that looks like a smart Alec and all the other fruits. There are no adds and is free. It is also very calming. Therefore I think for these reasons plus more that this game is a definitely a must have on devices. 🥰

I’ve only had this game for a little bit but it’s a HUGE part of my life! This game is so relaxing. One notable thing is that you need a Netflix account for this but it makes the game ad free which is super awesome. I have been looking for something to do because I have been sick and having to quarantine but this game turns one hour into one second. I definitely recommend for those who love strategic, relaxing, and addicting games.

My family is on a long plane ride and wanted to play a new game, so this continually popped up in the Netflix app to download and play. As someone who designs games and experiences for a living, the play looked fun and overall I was very impressed with the polish- unfortunately this is where it ended… that said -cute graphics are engaging and well animated -surprise and delight with the emergent physics mechanics, bubble fx and sounds, 5/5 for polish -nice touches like level resets keep the game loop interesting and resetting the field However - big huge gripes and why I’ll be deleting this game before the plane lands. -the core loop is designed to have you fail to win. In other words, there is no success or win state. I got to level 6 once, but is there a progression tree? No. Are there play modifiers or power ups? No. Are there collectables or consumables? Nope. Are there skins or environment changes? Not that I could see. This is clearly a game from a game designer that wants to make great looking games, but doesn’t understand core mechanics, engagement loops, out these issues and I’ll try again and raise my stars.
