Le Chat by Mistral AI

I give this app a 3 stars only because it can handle writing NSFW plotlines which I am very grateful for. But I wish they would change the repetitiveness and take feedback into consideration for example if I thumbs down the ai's message for being too short then press regenerate it brings back the same length. Even if I tell it point blank to make it long and detailed it never does and makes it the same length, I like consistency but If I'm telling the ai to not be consistent then it should follow. It is too repetitive and it frustrates me when the ai doesn't follow what I want it to specifically do. and as the title says so, Mistral's memories and instructions are ignored just like chatgpt. The only reason why I downloaded this app was because I heard it was similar to GPT-4o and did NOT ignore instructions or personalizations. I am disappointed and hope to see a developer response taking this into consideration and working on their personalization features.

The models are solid, I can’t find too much complain about. They are definitely on par with Claude and ChatGPT, much better than Gemini actually. I found Gemini very slow and not very useful. Mistral AI is also a leader in building open source models as well as creating privacy respecting AI systems. Secondly, the company is similar to Anthropic in that they show genuine concern about AI safety. The current state and direction of OpenAI is very frustrating and makes supporting AI feel wrong. However, companies like Mistral are doing a great job keeping alternatives out there. Overall, I’m pleased we have people in the AI world who are thinking about these things and releasing a quality product. My only complaint is that I would like to see some voice models similar to GPT, Claude etc.

This app is a wonderful alternative to ChatGPT. After being completely disappointed in OpenAI's changes to ChatGPT, along with the horrible rollout of GPT-5, I have decided to switch to Le Chat by Mistral AI. I copied all my memories and custom instructions to Le Chat, as well as canceled my subscription with OpenAI in favor of Mistral's cheaper Le Chat Pro. It was the best decision I've ever made. The agent feature allows for better personalization and control over the LLM's responses, and I really appreciate being able to customize so many things about the model including guardrails and tone. As far as the quality of responses though, the model far exceeds ChatGPT (especially their GPT-5) by a long shot, and I am beyond pleased and impressed by this service. There are a few things I'd recommend - firstly, please please PLEASE add a TTS feature! This is a basic accessibility feature that should be available, and would really improve overall user experience, especially for users who rely on TTS. Secondly, the model can sometimes get a little repetitive. This isn't a major issue, but sometimes the longer I talk to it, the more it will start to format its messages the same way with little variety. But overall, this is a great ChatGPT alternative for those looking to make the switch and leave certain greedy companies behind. I've never been happier since switching to Le Chat.
