We went ahead and took a plunge by purchasing this calendar. So far it appears that it’ll lighten the mental burden and help keep our family organized. The two-way app calendar syncing in conjunction with the routine and to-do list are amazing! I would love if there was an option for changing the background color because our family prefers darker color themes. Also, it would be nice to have an option to move up or down items in a routine or to do list that way I can help my kids prioritize a steady flow. Is there a way to change the calendar view on the home screen for the app? It would be nice to see everything lined up horizontally instead of in two columns. Lastly is there a way to change which order the family members on the routine screen? For some reason my son pops up at the top and my daughter below him but he is shorter than her and it makes if awkward. I look forward to continue using this digital calendar and to see the evolution of this program and company 💚💚💚🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
As a new user here’s some suggestions that I would love to see happen. For the chores: 1. An optional section. Meaning the kids could add on to their own chart from another list if they wanted to pick up some extra chores or not. 2. Weekly Chores: Assigning chores that can due at some point that week. Thus teaching them to manage their time and it can be assigned at any time and not just show up on one day. 3. When adding list items it would be easier to add more than one item at once instead of having to save one item at a time then start over by selecting add again. 4. The point system needs to be able to go as high as we want. I want my kids to learn that they can give up their coins for small things or save up for some big stuff and even bigger stuff. I have things ranging from 100 coins to over 10,000 coins. So it would be nice to be able to do this. 5. Being able to use emojis on our phones or at least having more options for the pictures on the rewards. This would make things easier for a kid that can’t read quite yet and make it more fun to see. 6. When deleting routines off of one child’s account: have an option to delete just from that user if it was added with more than one to begin with. That way we don’t have to go back and add it to the others. I’ll add more as they pop up while using.
Overall, Apollosign has been really helpful and easy to use. One feature that would be great to see is a note section tied to the calendar - for things you don’t necessary, want to schedule as events, but still want reminders for. Being able to set future reminders on Notes (for a holiday prep, ideas, or important reminders), and even attach photos, would make the calendar even more useful. Another improvement that would be especially helpful for families is an “incomplete” option for routines. Some days routines just don’t happen, and instead of carrying over to the next day, it would be nice to mark them as incomplete points aren’t earn. Having the ability to remove points when needed for behavior would also make the routine system more realistic and flexible.
