Most definitely! I have severe ADHD and the daily check in and reminder to take a photo has kept me in track and compliant with treatment. My itโs only been a week and I have noticed a definite improvement in the smoothness of my skin. During this first week I had a small breakout which is perfectly normal btw not a reason to stop using. Why you might ask? Because treatments are supposed to do this when you start them it means itโs working and itโs purging your skin of the impurities so the break out in the first week is a good thing. I have noticed some burning and redness and my skin has started to peel slightly in those areas. Againโฆ this is a completely normal side effect when you start any treatment. The side effects have been tolerable. Yes I hated the zit that suddenly appeared in my chin but it cleaned up with a quickness and knowing that the product is purging the impurities from my skin made me not so insecure about it. Plus I got free pimple patches in my treatment box which also helped and makes me not feel so insecure. Before using this product my pores looked so huge and I hated being able to see them. Now they are barely noticeable! Black heads esp on my nose and chin have also significantly improved. My skin feels so smooth and I canโt wait to see what my skin looks like long term. What I also like about this program is that a provider looks at your weekly daily photos and analyzes your skin and makes adjustments to your treatment as needed. No treatment I have ever tried has done that. This system is worth every penny.
As someone with crazy sensitive skin I am really hesitant when it comes to trying new skincare, but I decided to give this a go because of the research that went into this brand. TLDR: I cannot recommend these products enough! I was given products that have ingredients I've used before (niacinimide, salicylic acid), which I knew worked for my skin, but the biggest game changer was really the whole system itself. The AI face scan and progress tracking in the app was really helpful and like nothing I've ever seen before.
I am rating the app, NOT the product as 2/5 stars. The products work just fine, but the app has its issues. While the concept of the app is great, check-ins, messaging with your doctor, reminders to use your regimen, I have one big hang-up. Each week you take a picture to send off for analysis to see how your acne has improved. Thatโs smart. BUT. The image capture feature requires you to center your chin and forehead with your face straight on to camera. This is fine if all of your blemishes are located in your t-zone or the front of your cheeks. However, mine are on my jawline underneath my chin and really arenโt visible if you only look at me head on. This does not allow for an accurate depiction of acne severity or progress. I have message the IT team from Methodiq and they have stated they canโt adjust those settings. I understand having a standardized system can be helpful, but acne is not a standardized issue. Not every person has break-outs in the same locations and not every product works for every individual. I think it would be beneficial to allow for more images to be uploaded that donโt require such specific alignment within the frame.
