I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding the unprofessional communication I experienced during a recent interaction with a customer service representative named Bill. I initially reached out for assistance because I was unable to secure a new advance after successfully repaying a $75 advance on my account, which I have maintained since March. Bill informed me that a duplicate account associated with a different phone number was causing a "possible fraud" flag. I was unaware that the secondary account would cause any issues and immediately cooperated by deleting it to restore my original account. My complaint concerns Bill's communication after the issue was resolved. He stated, “Yes, please do not create multiple accounts.” I found this phrasing to be inappropriately reprimanding, especially since I had already explained that I did not know the other account would cause a conflict. I was seeking help to resolve an error, not intentionally attempting to violate policy. While I understand and respect the single-account requirement, there is a distinct difference between informing a customer of a policy and speaking to them in an accusatory tone. This interaction added to an already frustrating experience, during which I received conflicting messages regarding whether my advance was available before the issue was finally resolved and my $80 offer became available. While I am glad the technical issue was resolved, the communication should have been handled with more professionalism and understanding. I request that this interaction be reviewed and that appropriate feedback be provided to the representative. I look forward to receiving a response from a supervisor regarding this matter. Sincerely, Amanda Morales
Got approved for $30. Okay, not a big deal, it helped so much. I was only sent $14 though and I still have to pay back the whole $30. Not sure if the rest were fees or whatever. I was thinking that maybe I was able to use some then and the rest later, but it shows that the whole payback was $30 and nothing besides that $14 was sent to me directly. But paying back more than I was able to use doesn’t make much sense. However, although this was my experience, I was still able to be approved and was still able to have something sent to my bank. So it isn’t a fake app, I just don’t get having to pay back more than I was actually sent. As if I am paying interest or something. If I got approved for an amount, I, like anyone else, would expect to be sent that amount. Again, give it a try if you wish, amounts vary by person and situation. Just letting it be known what happened to me, I am not trying to stop anyone from taking a chance.
Signing up was faster than I expected. The verification process was straightforward and I was able to use the app the same day.
