Budgetum: Budget Planner

I found this app while scrolling Reddit for budgeting app/website reccomendations. I used to use Notion with a custom template, but have been put off by the shift towards AI… I’ve been a loyal used since high school (2019?) and finally had enough. Someone in a random thread mentioned this single-developer, passion project: Budgetum. It genuinely has changed the game for me. I tried using other apps between Notion and Budgetum, and they all had too many ads, or nagged me to use their AI features, or were basically useless without a subscription. Budgetum provides a solid user experience with a deep care for and attention to what a budgeting app is meant to be. Simple, sleek, and effective. I can’t wait to see how it develops with more support!

Could not brag enough about this app. I’ve used YNAB and EveryDollar for years. This is substantially better is so many small ways, it’s hard to believe it’s free. In fact, I like using it so much that I paid for the Pro version just to support the developer. Transactions are easy to track, it’s completely customizable, and so far, the creator has been super responsive with adding new features and updates suggested by users. 11/10.

I switched from YNAB and I have enjoyed using this app. I like the current color and icon customizations, the section and category flexibility, and the clear visibility between planned amounts vs spent amount vs remaining amount. I found setting up my budget with this app easier than YNAB. I’m sincerely excited about future updates and it’s literally 94% cheaper than YNAB if you get the pro.
