I’ve just installed the app and I can say that the app does its job, the only think I will suggest is that you can turn off and on in a different bar, not on the same one like now. The scheduling futures are quite good ,allow me to set different hour of day for the hot tub to run at its best temperature , the only downside I can say that the screen doesn’t stay on when I hit the turn on , and turn off button and then the screen run away quite quick, and that make me fell that the pump is not working, I can suggest and improved this part of the system, otherwise quite good.
A very simple and basic app that should be easily and robustly coded. It isn’t. It’s extremely unreliable and this is not good when one of the main selling points is economy through insulation and the ability to remotely schedule emery use. I cannot imagine the profit from this product once the process is up and running …plastic is cheap and we are paying a premium. There is no excuse for this poor performing app that has apparently been broken for over a year now. Just went out to spa today had no schedule set, just a permanent 35 degree. Got in and seemed hot; spa had decided to adjust itself up to 38 degrees - not sure how long this was for as it’s 2days since I last opened the app. I will try the best way app. Which I guess is what they are all relying on us doing. The after sales really does put the lay z into their Spas.
Works really well once connected and very handy. Point to note!!!! When connecting make sure the connection you are joining is 2.4ghz and not 5ghz. It will only join 2.4ghz and will not find your network on 5ghz. My connection had a selection of IOT 2.4 (internet of thing) especially for things like this just had to change it to 2.4ghz only as it was set to 2.4ghz or 5ghz and the app did not like this so on router settings I selected 2.4ghz only. Any family member a little tech savvy will help you with yous setting. Once connected it is really reliable now and finds my hot tub straightaway with no need to reconnect it just takes a few seconds to find it after initial set up. Hope this helps
The Lay-Z-Spa® WiFi app gives you more control away from the hot tub for more time to relax in the hot tub. It's time to transform the way you relax...
