Gardenstead: Community app

Must have gmail to access feedback forum. Must allow full access to photos and mic to upload pics. Feels like a security risk to not have these simple controls. Otherwise app is a great idea with worldwide access to gardening of all flavors.

Overall I’m enjoying the app. There are definitely some glitches, such as hashtag hyperlinks not working, and zooming in on pictures in a carousel defaults back to the first picture. I think as this app picks up more users, it’ll be a lot more interesting.

I think this app is awesome, I love having a place to scroll that isn’t trying to sell me stuff I don’t need, and is informative. However, I think a few small changes could make this app really spectacular. For example, I can’t tell if there’s really a way to search by content type. I can search for users by username or groups of users but I can’t search for posts on asparagus or hydroponics or raised beds etc. I can also see that posts have hashtags, but they don’t actually go anywhere. I can’t click on a “organic farming” hashtag and see other posts tagged with “organic farming” for instance. This may just be a product of the platform’s newness, there aren’t enough posts yet to organize this way maybe, but I’d love to be able to look for posts on what I’m specifically interested in. If that is a current capability, I do apologize, but I can’t find it anywhere and I’m pretty comfortable interfacing with social media. Thank you for developing such an awesome app! I’m looking forward to learning a lot from it. 🌱🌱
