Voidpet Dungeon has gotten me to play every day for the past 2 months and I don’t really plan on stopping that habit. It’s a nice casual game to play that doesn’t take a lot of brain power until you reach a wall that takes a few days to overcome, which is great. I like that they gave emotions life and personality as the voidpets. The dialogue in the battles is a little corny but what dialogue isn’t in a mobile game. My only complaint would be that you really only have one thing to do a day once you’ve done your daily missions and battle pass, maybe an option to add friends and have clans would be cool, though that’s a very generic thing for games to have. I also love and hate the pricing for in game purchases - I love that they are high because it discourages me from purchasing anything, knowing that it probably wouldn’t be worth it to spend $15 for a single astral egg- of which I’ve opened 12 and had no luck. On the other hand I hate the pricing because it’s too high a price for me to pay for things that I will get for free with patience. In all, great game, and i’m happy to be a part of its journey and evolution. Additionally, I just found that there are hundreds of character icons, all of which are obtainable using gems. There is some really amazing artwork on these profile pictures, and I think it would be great if these were highlighted more, maybe with say “Avatar Eggs” or egg fragments that you get from the daily boss and the battle pass!
When I saw the ads about the game I was intrigued. A game that’s has creatures related to emotions? And it has combat? I was sold! At least, for the first few weeks. After playing the game for a while I noticed a few jarring turn-offs for me. For starters, the story wasn’t as interesting as I’d hoped. The dialogue was a bit too casual for my liking and the lack of visuals really made it hard to follow. I couldn’t get attached to any character. The only time I had a semblance of recognition for one, it was always related to another boss. Not the character themself. Speaking of the boss, the gameplay is very dull. It’s the same thing over and over again. The only variation is your type of voidpets and which ones you use. Either way, the outcome is the same. My suggestion is that the main “gameplay” (if you can even call it that) should be considered training, with a whole new part of the game be dedicated to a new form of gameplay. That way the story can be tweaked and improved while also satisfying the common complaint of dull gameplay. The game isn’t bad by all means, it just needs some massive improvements before you can call it a game.
Game makes no sense my anger and envy have no tank bypassing abilities but for some random reason the ones I’m fighting do and that’s just one example of it. How about we stay consistent on what the Voidpets are able to do instead of magically making the opposing ones do the same ability but with stronger effects. I’ve been having fun with the game but these small things are just ruining it for me. Also there’s practically no chance for ftp players to get the higher form Voidpets. Literally get one egg every few days with a 0.5% chance of getting it??? Or open 300 eggs when you get one every 2 or 3 days during a 30~ day event. Also do you need one specific pet leveled up to beat this one level well you’re going to have to wait 2 days to get the resources for that! And if that’s still not enough to beat it so you gotta level up another one wait another 2 days!!! Oh you finally beat the level? Well this next stage is going to need these Voidpet type advantages or else you just can’t win! Since all the opponent Voidpets have insane scaling! The enemy tanks somehow have insane hp defense and damage and the dealers do even more damage and are still somehow tanky while your dealers deal less damage while somehow getting one tapped by everything even if you fully build them!!! Aw are you missing a Voidpet that fulfills a specific element and role? Toooo baaad you’re just going to have to get lucky using the terrible odds involved with the eggs!!!
