Trucker Budget

Great app! It’s simple and very useful for tracking loads and expenses. I have a couple of suggestions that would make it even better for owner-operators. First, it would be extremely helpful to add a Description field for each expense. Right now, I can only scan a receipt, enter the amount, and choose a category. It would be great to add a short note like “blower,” “tools,” “printer,” “oil filters,” etc. That would make it much easier to find and identify specific purchases later. Second, it would be great to have a separate category for Initial Investments that can be excluded from the Rate per Mile calculation. Expenses such as truck down payments, insurance down payments, security deposits, or major truck upgrades (like a deer guard) are one-time investments rather than operating expenses. Excluding them from the cost-per-mile calculation would provide a much more accurate picture of operating profitability while still keeping all expenses tracked in one place. Overall, I really enjoy using the app. These two features would make it even more useful for owner-operators and small trucking businesses.
