The Liszt Sonata

I love this app! Everything about it is great. I wish they would make more!

An amazing, in depth look at the Liszt piano sonata in b minor, fantastically performed and analyzed by the phenomenal Stephen Hough. I hope that there will be more of these to come! Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin... the list goes on. I can’t say enough great things about Mr. Hough. This man is a genius. Thank you so much for this!

Stephen Hough's performance was superb. It was such an enriching experience to learn the background of the piece. I enjoyed the little embedded excerpts in the explanation portion of the app. Loved being able to follow the performance as the notes scrolled below. I just wished I could have somehow transferred the performance portion to my other devices so I could listen to the piece independent of the video. If that became available it could justify the price of the app. As it is if I want the music on my iPod I need to make another music only purchase and that is only if that recording is available for purchase. But I would love other pieces presented in like manner. I am planning to investigate The Orchestra also made by Touch Press. I know I won't be disappointed. Excellent app.
