I have been using the GTY app for the past 4 years. During that time I have listened to hundreds, possibly thousands of hours of preaching, as I listen to on average about 5 sermons a week. I can say with certainty that no other piece of media or technology has been better for me growing in my understanding of scripture and my faith than John’s sermons available on this app. That being said, the new app has major issues. 1) there is no way to access sermons that are bookmarked or way to save series of sermons so they can be easily accessed. 2) the app does not save or remember where you were in a message if you pause or close the app so you have to first go through the long process of finding the book, then sermon then the time in the sermon you were at each time you switch out of the program 3) speed options are limited compared to the previous app. (This is a small one but I preferred 1.3 or 1.4 speed) I am so thankful for the media available on GTY and I hope some changes can be made to make accessing the beautiful and comprehensive messages simpler and more efficient.

I have used the GTY sermon app for 4 years now ever since I found it through Fundamentals of the Faith. It is one of my favorite apps giving me access to an intimidating amount of JMACs sermons to listen to any time of day whether on the way to work, working in the yard, and more. I have grown immensely and am so thankful for GTY. That being said, this new app is very different and not as I expected so I will provide what is hopefully some helpful feedback. My love of the GTY app is the ability to find, download, and listen to sermons. I appreciated the basic presentation of the previous app and found it more difficult to find my way around with this new app with all the large images. I also noticed that there are more sermons available in the previous app and maybe that will change. My biggest letdown was the lack of a playback que for sermons and not being able to send sermons to others. Hopefully these updates will come in the future but for now I will continue to use the tried and true GTY Sermons app. I hope this is helpful, thank you

It is my daily habit to hear the Word preached in an expository way, and the teaching ministry of John MacArthur has been my mainstay for many years. Please, please, bring back the continuous play feature! I download several sermons daily to listen to, and having to go into the app, find my download’s (which is not easy), in order to play the next sermon, while driving (!) is NOT ideal. Also please bring back the memory/ hold feature. Not only does the app not hold where I left off in my last sermon, (at least not the same length of time as the last app version), it doesn’t have a marker to show which sermon I’m on. Now, I frequently start over what I’ve already heard. This is extremely annoying when you are trying to build on a systematic teaching study.
