instax WIDE Evo

I bought the Wide Evo in hopes to connect my phone to it to remotely control the camera and print photos but I just got off the phone with Fuji support and was informed that my phone isn’t supported and I have to wait for an update. This phone has been out for months!

When you go to resize or adjust the picture right before you go to print it, the part where you can zoom in, adjust, crop the picture, etc. is absolutely 100-percent broken, and moves the whole app screen (as though you’re swiping down to close it) instead of accurately adjusting the picture your trying to print. Instead, it just moves the whole entire app window around, and makes printing the photo a massive, massive task, which really should not happen at this stage in the app’s current cycle. Please fix this, as it makes adjusting the photo before printing all but impossible.

This is honestly one of Fuji’s better companion apps, they really are stepping up their game. But there is always some weird thing they leave out. This time, it’s not letting me match the color of the loaded film when I transfer a printed photo. Like, ok, it doesn’t need to be in the camera firmware, but it should be a toggle in the app. Fuji only makes three colors of WIDE film, so this isn’t a monumental coding challenge. Let’s hope it’s updated soon! Scanning the print into instax Up! Is a bad workaround.
