Using this app to train for my first Hyrox, it’s only been a few weeks but so far has been great. I’ve had questions about the plan that a coach was able to answer and adjust the plan, and used the ai feature for smaller adjustments as needed. It seems like the plan the coaches made have everything I’ll need to train to get across the finish line and feel strong, but I guess time will tell on that one.
I’ve been searching for a coaching app that could host both running and strength, but that also didn’t rely 100% on AI (I know, I’m one of “them”). Having worked with a coach 1:1 before, I was missing the human element but I’m not in a space to be able to spend so much right now. Enter in Edge. I’ve been so impressed with the workouts & the attention to detail. I also love knowing a team of real humans is on the other side of my training taking in my workout feedback and adjusting accordingly. I can’t recommend enough!
I am at the end my free trial and I truly love the app. I’ve used it for lifting and running. While there is certainly room to improve here and there, overall it does exactly what I’ve been searching for so long. Naturally the question is then “why did this guy only give us 3 stars?”. Really it all boils down to price. I can’t justify paying that much, especially when I can get something very similar using separate apps at a cheaper price (or just with AI for that matter) I would love to be able to recommend this to friends but the prices is just too steep. If that was ever to change, I would easily give five stars and recommend it to everyone.
