Saillogger App

We have always shared our location with land-side followers and fellow boaters and it’s taken discipline and effort to do that in particular to add any detail. Saillogger made it all automatic with rich details like the weather and other vessel metrics with near real-time accuracy. I don’t get messages from followers any more asking, “where are you?”. Now their messages read, “crazy cool looking anchorage” and “did you suffer that 40 knot blow last night with out incident?”. Saillogger turns our position into named locations and generates a logbook automatically. We’ve started using the Notes and Photos like a micro blog - so simple and easy to attach images and notes to our routes. We built a friends fleet and each morning with coffee I run through my list to not only see where they are, but their weather and vessel conditions as well as all the AIS traffic around them. We have yet to explore all that this app has to offer but I can’t give it enough stars.

I’ve been a full-time cruiser for the last 20 years and am a lifetime sailor. Saillogger has been a gamechanger in managing my boat. The app provides a collection of features designed to make boating safer, more efficient and stress free. Saillogger provides real-time monitoring of essential boat systems. I can monitor the health of my batteries, see tank levels as well as environmental conditions through the app whether I’m on the boat or not. The automatic GPS logging and route tracking are fantastic for documenting trips. Saillogger offers knowledgeable, caring and responsive customer support. This is a very comprehensive app for monitoring your boat and logging your trips. It is very feature-rich—without a doubt the most feature-rich one we have used—and it takes a while to comprehend all the features and capabilities it offers. It requires having a monitoring device on the boat running an agent, which may not be possible for everyone, but we found it quite easy to get it running on a Victron Cerbo GX. Overall, it’s amazingly reliable with a great user interface—highly recommended for all kinds of boaters
