PlantOn - Ai Plant Identifier

Had the pro lifetime purchase and app goes back to wanting to have you obtain pro again, the restore purchase option is grayed out and does not work, as well as the one in the menu. Doesn't even try, get no app store message of success or not. It wasn't all that accurate to begin with, usually would have to take the same thing about 3 or 4 times each one a different result before you can look up a second opinion/ verify what its backend was suggesting before you get a decent result. And worse is not ever going to be fixed as the developers send their canned message saying all the issues are fixed. So won't be any updates then, nothing even to update its now perfect, or a lie. One or the other!

So far I think the app does a good job identifying, however there are a few issues after that: 1. When I go to My Plants, it seems to be hung up, showing only a spinning circle. After getting in and out of the app several times, checking my connections, etc, I finally decided to tap it to see what it would do. It did end up opening and showing my plants but it looks confusing with just a spinning wheel rather than showing thumbnails of your plants. 2. Once you get in to something, like checking water level, or any other option, there’s no Back button. The only way I can find to get back to the main page is to completely close out of the app and then reopen it. Still experimenting and will update the review as I get more into it.

It doesn’t seem to accurately identify a lot of plants. I took a picture of my Rose Campion (which I know is Rose Campion, but it identified it as something else that I have never heard of. There are several plants that I took pictures of and consistently got a pop up saying that there was no plant detected and to retake the picture. I changed angles multiple times and tried again but got the same pop up. I also tried searching for plants by typing in a name and selection filter options. When I click on Show Matches, nothing pops up. The screen stays blank. I’m not finding this app to be user friendly at all. But perhaps I am not using it correctly. 🤷‍♀️
