It constantly tries to get me to get the “premium insights”, which is a monthly subscription that makes things better. (I have not given in). I’m pretty sure the prices it states for the cards are mostly inaccurate. (It says the cosmog from the “celebrations” set of 2021 is worth 86 US dollars, as of December 2025, and most websites put it at around 20 cents). It still doesn’t feature the McDonalds set from earlier in 2025, although neither do most websites, but at least it has no ads. It would be 2 stars, but it is still the best i can get, so I guess I’ll still use it, unfortunately. Pokellector has ads (according to some reviews), Collectr is 12+ so I’m not allowed to use it, and Card Scanner for Pokèmon actually requires you to pay after a few scans instead just constantly advertising the premium (at least according to some reviews). All have a massive unavoidable flaw, so this is the best I’ve got, so I guess it’s better than nothing, and those are probably worse than nothing. (they would probably just take up storage space pointlessly). So, this is what I’m forced into.
I’ve got to say, it’s amazing! Its free features are good enough for me! Also, anyone who says the scanning doesn’t work, it’s because you gotta give it a few seconds and then move it up and down a little and it’ll work. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed, and also, to the developers, I’ve been using this app since the past few months, and it’s great! But I’d also like if you’d maybe add discounts on pricey cards like popular ones and maybe even consider adding your personal favorites to recommend to us? Just a thought, no need to overthink! Thanks!🩷😽
First off, go into getting this app knowing you need a subscription to use it. This is a great app, for the most part. Lets you know market value for a card, how many have been certified in their database, metrics on sales, directly connects to eBay. It would be nice if there was a feature to track the number of any given point you have in your collection. However, I keep coming across cards that it won’t populate. Slightly frustrating until I realized every card that didn’t populate was a 2020. Older cards and newer cards (even 2024) scan just fine. Not sure if this is a rights issue? If I can find another app like it that will scan ALL of my cards, I’ll probably stop using this one, sadly.
