It an easy to use app for managing all your light switches, light bulbs, or outlets/plugs. However, asking to login every time I pull up the app? A bit too much. I want to turn on the lights not to make a payment to the bank. Setting up the RaspberryPi with Raspbee II adapter took a half day of flashing cards, changing Pi’s (from 2 to 3). HomeAssistant does not recognize the adapter so I had to build another Pi with their own pre-built image. Not for the faint of heart. The app also locks out or doesn’t do anything when trying to edit lights or groups. Not sure what to do. Logout and log back in didn’t work. I’ll probably contact support but I spent 30$ on the adapter, 40$ on outlets, another 50$ on Pi and additional stuff. This is supposed to be a contained ecosystem disconnected from private clouds which it is. That’s the good part. Amazon, Nest, Wyze,Lutron etc cannot get your data or see when you’re turning your lights on or off. But, man, if you’re providing built images do it right. Clearly this is not for grandma to setup.
