I have used this app to save me from anxiety many times. And it has helped me tremendously. However, I wish they could add some features that makes the app cumbersome. 1. There needs to be a back button or a way to edit previous responses. I’ve accidentally clicked countless times and wished I could redo it. 2. For the distortions list, I wish the area I responded in could be easily toggled back and forth from the distortion list. For example, I want to talk about my respond to “All or Nothing Thinking “ by looking at the prompt. But I have to scroll to the top to where the distortion lists begins and then scroll all the way to the bottom to respond to the prompt. Rinse and repeat. I also need to remember what the AI message was. Otherwise, solid app. It was worth the money to feel better. Dr. Burns is amazing and his Team CBT really does work. I am proof. I was cynical about this app but I am a believer.

I was lucky enough to join the beta for this app so I have been using it for months. The AI is shockingly good at capturing your mental state and expressing empathy. Often it captures how I am feeling in better words than I can put together myself. It’s also great at walking you through various approaches to changing your thinking. This app states it is not a substitute for therapy but boy is it close! And it helps me stay on track when I can’t grab a pen and paper and do a mood log. It’s also great when a painful thought pops up in the middle of the night - I can use the app without waking my partner, and usually it helps me break free from the thought and get back to sleep. This app is really good and I hope more people find and benefit from it.

I have bought several of Dr Burns books and was excited to learn there was an app. I got to the 4th section of the first course only to be stopped with a pay $99 (normal price is $150) There was option to pay monthly. This makes it out of reach for most people. As someone on a fixed income this was so disheartening. I think the pricing is also outrageous. Being that I only got 4 short (abbreviated) sections of what’s in the book I can only give this one 1 star. I don’t know if you get the app versions of the forms you receive in the book. I know you can get them on the internet but an app version would have been awesome. At this price point I will never find out if they somehow accomplished this. Dr Burns makes a lot of money with conferences, speaking engagements, books, etc. to bring the cost of this way down. Maybe you don’t want to help EVERYONE? Maybe only a certain section of society, the upper echelon (the only people I know who could afford $150 regular price point. Disappointment doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel about this.
