Learn Korean, Hangul: HeyKorea

I’ve been leaning Korean since November 2024 and I discovered couple of weeks ago the app. It’s helpful and easy to use in a daily routine if you have a busy day working/ studying without time to spend just learning Korean. I can recommend the app because the short lessons can really add some knowledge to you. It’s free, couple of ads here and there but I’m satisfied with the exercises and small vocabulary added to each lesson.

Customer Service helped me with my previous issue of my lifetime subscription not going through. Other than that, I think this is an excellent app and the best overall option for learning Korean through apps.

So, I had thought this rivals the other apps out there. However, one fact that I just can’t get a leg over for it is that some answers you just don’t get context for them. Like there were two answers and they were both correct so it was like a 50/50 shot. Q- Are the mother and father home? A- Yes, the mother and father are home. A- No, the mother and father are not home. Which it asked something to the effect of “Which one is right” But it should have said. “I’m trying to say that my parents aren’t home. Which sentence would demonstrate that?” So this app has a lot of room for improvement before I go anywhere near the purchases. If it continues on this way, I may just get rid of it, because it’s very discouraging to get it wrong just because of the 50/50 luck on a bunch of the questions. I’m sure this app has a good team with lots of stuff going into it, but I would like the team to review how they are setting up the students for success versus failure.
