Barrier: Screen Time For Focus

I hate how I get sucked into dooms growing. I swear I checked FB marketplace for something we need… Why am I looking at cat videos now? I can feel my thumb wanting to scroll on its own! Enter Barrier. After 10 minutes, automatically locks down. To get back in, you have to watch a 30 second ad. I noticed I will need to put the phone down so the ad doesn’t further distract me. There great phrases every time you try to open an app to remind you what your goals are with your time. I have used Foqos - also a great free app - but I like Barrier better because it is set up to automatically kick on all the time. The other app is a little bit more friendly to those that want scheduled restrictions

For the first time I’m happy for the ads as it’s an extra stopping point to really ask “do I really need to scroll?”. This is a great actually free app. I mostly use the always locked feature and unlock as I need. I did notice a bug on 2 occasions after unlocking, the timer will reset but my apps remain unlocked. I am not able to “tap to relock” on one instance it fixed over time and another time I had to delete and reinstall the app. But I still give it 4 stars as there’s no other app this good that is free. I would love to be able to set different apps to lock during different times. Like if I want 2 apps locked in the morning and 5 at night. Right now it’s only possible to have 1 list of locked apps

This app is great, works exactly like it says, I’ve only had a few problems with the editing screen for editing my apps that are blocked, and that’s because it crashes when I try to open that screen sometimes, but that’s not always a bad thing (but def try to fix it if you haven’t in the latest update). Yeah good job though it’s well made, definitely get it if you want to kill off your screen time.
