Ollie’s Arcade

It is so refreshing to see a simple, well-designed pickup game on the App Store. It is a true delight to enjoy a simple game for a few minutes without being pestered by Ads or IAP. Love it!

When I was a kid, I had a simple metric for my toys and my money: for every dollar I spend, will I get an hour (or more) of enjoyment from this? If yes, then it's a good deal. Ollie's has two in-app purchases for Snake and Tranquility Touchdown, and although I've only been playing for an hour, my 12 year old self's adage holds up. The games are a lot of fun, and price is a heck of a deal. I hope more games are added in future releases! (Lights Out and Missile Command are some personal favorites.) Love this app because it features several cute games that can be purchased ala cart (no subscriptions involved) and it does not collect and sell your data. There’s also no gotcha mechanics in these games. Just fun little ways to pass the time. You get a Floppy Bird like game for free and can choose to buy whatever else catches your eye. I’d highly recommend giving it a download
