Hemmings

I was looking at cars that I linked to via an email that Hemmings sent to me. Something suggested that I try the Hemmings app. So I downloaded it and when I opened an advertised car ad photo’s wi”pop-up ads began popping up… then got caught in a loop of the same pop-ups playing over and over… Hopefully, some one will fix it, and it isn’t just about being a click bait app. I have had a long relationship with Hemmings publications over the years and this app is just so disappointing. I routinely use other auto auction sites, and never have had such an issue.

I've been using Hemmings since I was young. I have been faithfully looking for a Mercedes-Benz 170DS, and sure enough, I’ve found one. I would like to thank Hemmings for making this opportunity possible. You've made my dream come true, as you have for many others, I am sure.

Firstly, they will put a pop up in the middle of the screen that you have to tap the X several times to get rid of. Then there are banners at the bottom of your screen that you have to tap several times and that block information about the car at the bottom of the list. Then somehow I started a video that when you get rid of it it keeps returning. This is a very poor offering from Hemmings and I’m probably deleting it. The bring a trailer app blows this thing away in functionality and ease. Just go to Hemmings in a browser window and don’t waste your time here. I guess Hemmings isn’t making enough on car auctions so ads are the priority. A good offering of cars as usual. This isn’t a review of Hemmings but of the app
