Whilst traveling South America we used multiple airlines and they all had functional easy to use (only was Spanish only and we found it easier to navigate!), just made it so glaringly obvious that SAA cobbled together this nonsense. It’s buggy, frustrating to use, poor interface, seems to act like a link to webpages rather than a stand alone app. The options and lay out don’t really make sense, can’t go back, often need to start a whole process again.
Many of the old features are gone (like Voyager number based checkin). Bookings only show one leg, and if you view it and it is open for checkin you can't click on it to check in. You've got to exit, go to checkin and do it manually. Can't even copy the booking reference number to paste into checkin- unselectable. Got to use original email to find it. No integration of bookings with calendar. And when a checkin has been done, the boarding pass can't be saved to Wallet (like it used to). Overall a bitty, and poorly tested app. Come on guys you can do much better! Update: 2 December 2017. SO broken (like SAA) that it won’t even open now. Splash screen then bombs. Utterly despicable app pasted onto equally ropey SAA and Amadeus web services.
This app is just a waste of my time, I signed in with Voyager for the first time and it went through successfully but after I registered on the app it doesn’t work anymore. It says I should register a profile which I already have. I added my flights on the then signed out, when I re-signed in it wants me to re-add my flight details. Why do it again and again. Sorry but this is just sad from SAA. The prefer the old app than this one unfortunately.
