Private Passport has spent a billion dollars I hear. Yet, it is disgraceful. Just today, we had to have a VP at the Northern involved to just activate a new debit card. Last week, I spent many hours just trying to set up an auto pay between Northern Trust and Chase Prime Visa. After wasting literally hours, I find out that Private Passport is not set up to accept autopays with Chase, the largest bank in America, I believe. After more talking with PP big wigs, they even admit that this is beyond ridiculous. Chase says they have never heard of such nonsense. I am told they may get it working early next year. Except this exact same thing happened a year or so ago with another autopay that Northern would not work with. This should take a coder a VERY short period of time to set up since PP already does autopays with other banks. The incompetence is astounding.
I have been a customer of Northern Trust for many, many years and moved all of Mr. Luther Henderson and his Company accounts when I opened mine. We have always had excellent service and my bank officer Carol Thomas is truly an asset to Northern! Recently you moved the Bering location to Post Oak and what a sad day that was. At your new location you did not make allowances for a Drive-thru. I am somewhat handicapped and need a walker to get around and even your ATM machine is not convenient to get to. I must get out of my car, try and get my walker out by myself, and walk about ten steps to get cash. One would have thought whoever designed your new location would have thought about your customers who find it difficult to go inside the bank, but need to use a drive-thru. I am eighty years old and some of my friends have already moved their accounts because of the inconvenience of banking with Northern now. Barbara Peterson
In general, I have been very pleased with the functionality that Passport provides. However, I have not been able to find a way to adjust the mobile app to increase font size. As a visually disabled person, this application presents a hardship that many of my other financial applications do not. Even to make myself aware of my account balances, I have to hand my phone to one of my children for them to read it too me. I have made previous attempts to communicate this to the Passport Help Desk and also asked for the request to be communicated to the Product group, but never received any response. The above said, I am very satisfied with the application’s functionality, even if I do need another individual to assist me with viewing part of it.
