I enjoyed the concept of this game. I'm a fan of the revolutionary period, and of anything involving the arcane arts, so they blended together nicely in this story. However, the choices of magic schools is limited to 3 different ones, and there is a seemingly useless question about your shirt color in the beginning. Also, your stats don't actually seem to have any noticeable effect on gameplay. Finally, the story is short, and you only get one real opportunity to use magic from what I've seen. Perhaps once the games mechanics have been worked on a little, and the story lengthened, I will reconsider my rating.

Literally took me about ten minutes to complete Seemed like it was just getting started and was pretty well written then just abruptly ended. If I had paid for this I would have been angry. I didn’t get to do ANY magic. And WTH does it ask what shirt color you are wearing? Has ZERO bearing on the game. I’ve played other games in “series” and they are also super short. Need to step it up and or not even ask for .99 cents. Insulting

This story was a mix of things I loved (articulate writing style, interesting premise) and things I did not love (very brief, gives the impression of a distinctly two-sided conflict with absolutely no variations). It's a mildly interesting short story, or a great chapter 1 without a book behind it.
