This game is my childhood. I used to play it when I was a little kid with some of my family and it took a long long time to beat it, last night my brother downloaded it for nostalgia and we just started playing. I love this game so much, and it brings me so much nostalgia and many memories when I play it. Now if I were to actually go in on this game in a review though, I would say that itโs a pretty fun puzzle game that isnโt really difficult, but difficult enough to still be fun. The story has enough effort put in it to be interesting, and the premise of project chrono itself is pretty interesting to me. There are only a couple things I actively think are flaws in the game. The biggest problem with this game is a place in the wine cellar where you get the shield. You have to put those circles in a random combination that was just randomly made up, and no clues are hidden to show you why. Even though I can acknowledge that thatโs a flaw, I still donโt really care that much, and if I did, I would still give this game a 5/5 because of nostalgia. This game really held up in quality coming back years an years later, I really love this game. I know this review wonโt be seen, but I just felt that I wanted to write it. Five stars out of five, thanks for the memories.
I played through this game in one sitting, so except for a couple moments of โHmmm...โ, it was fairly easy (or maybe Iโm just getting a lot better at these- weโll go with that๐). Regardless, it was well worth my time, as the puzzles were still fun to solve without blowing a โheadโ gasket. Graphics were nice, navigation smooth, objects worked correctly, and solutions were mostly intuitive. The story was a little cartoony, and the โlost-in-translationโ prose only exacerbated it, but at least it had continuity and made me laugh a little. The choose-your-ending finale was a bit weirdly melodramatic, and I have no intention of replaying to see the other one, but in any case I felt some satisfaction at having finished it. Iโve played at least one of the newer MediaCity puzzlers, and it was more polished and a little more difficult, so I applaud their efforts in making quality stuff. Iโll probably be playing more of theirs, and would recommend them as a general go-to for good games.
Overall the game is good and fun. Some of the pictures have very realistic detail, which is nice but it doesn't flow well with the other pics. The pop ups did get annoying at times, but not a deal breaker. Good puzzles, I only had to look at the hints a couple times (mostly because I missed a subtle clue or an item).
