The Old Schoolhouse Magazine

The TOS app was fantastic before the latest update. Open the app, and there were all of the previous issues from current to years’ past. This latest update leaves a lot to be desired though. I downloaded the app to be able to read and share articles from the magazine with ease. I have no desire to read the Homeschooling With Heart blog through the app, or go to Schoolhouse Teachers through it. If you want those to be apps, then great! Spend the money to have them developed into well-run apps. Don’t try to save money by combining everything into one app, because it doesn’t work.

TOS has been a help in my homeschool journey from even before I pulled my kids out of public school. I look forward to the Christian worldview articles, and exploring the ads for products I want to try with my kids. They live by their motto that has been stated on the cover since their very first magazine. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

I am excited to see the new TOS app. Now I can take my favorite magazine everywhere - even places without wifi. It is easy to navigate. The high quality of the print version is still there, but now I can easily access more information through the links. I love it! I have only one challenge: the wonderful audio blog posts are not accessible. Do you have plans to reformat them so we can access them with Apple products? I hope so, because the speakers I have heard on your online expos have been outstanding. I would love to listen to them every day.
