Would be a nice experience but I barely got 90 seconds into it and was hit with and was “beat over the head” with them trying to push me into the premium version then my App Store was forcefully opened trying to get me to download a karaoke app. Also, it looks like the subscription prices for this app are way too high for my liking. Way too pushy on the sales pitches and ads. They would probably have a lot more success having a free version that gave you 10-20 songs, then charge .99 per new song, with some extra free songs thrown in every once in a while. Too bad. The idea behind app itself seems promising. The only issue with the gameplay that I had was that the timing of the beat strike seems to be a little behind the actual groove of the beat.
I shouldn't have to pay 7.99 a WEEK (???) to get a decent song, especially when the free version has a 35 second ad every 2 seconds. I get that the developers have to make money, but they’re too greedy and are alienating customers. More people would buy this for 1-4 dollars total than people who are willing to pay 384 DOLLARS A YEAR (??????) for an app that’s not even good. At that point, why not just buy a drum set, electric even? An Alesis Nitro Mesh Electronic Drum set is $349, STILL less than what this app costs. Plus the tom drums sound weird and there are no other sound options. On an electric drum set, you have like 400 different options AND backing tracks AND an aux. If you’re looking to learn how to drum, just do that. This app isn’t even like drumming in the first place. The best way to learn is to get your hands dirty, not two-thumbing it to Green Sleeves (which is a VIP song???) Additionally, each song is like 30 seconds to a minute long. The “Funk Riff” sounds nothing like an actual Funk Riff, and its like 20 seconds long. PLUS, you can still get points even if you’re offbeat. You can get full points just by button-mashing because there’s no penalty for extra hits. Would *consider* purchasing this (for 1 dollar) if there were even a FEW popular songs on the free trial besides Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Don’t fall for this scam, that seems to be targeting clueless kids into spending 400 dollars of their parents’ money. It’s clear that the majority of the 5 star reviews are fake/bought OR they’re done by kids. I saw one 5 star review by an 8 year old (•••••2006, indicating birth year). Maybe they could make a *moral* profit if they didn’t waste all their money on Instagram ads. Disappointed.
This app is alright. I have tons of drum apps on my IPad, and I downloaded this one a while ago just to see if it was any good. The previous screenshots before the update made me think twice, but looks can be deceiving, right? That was definitely the case in the previous version, but this current version just screams bad! The play along songs are absolutely terrible, and the way that you have the subscription service is so awful. I’m sorry guys, but do you really think you all are gonna get us to pay for a subscription for some extra songs that are just plain stupid? I mean, hey, at least you still have some of the original features. The sounds of the drums are pretty good, I will say that. That’s all I have to say. I just use this for fun to play beats and stuff for my enjoyment. I know that you all might think I’m being stupid right now by saying all this bad stuff, but this is just my honest opinion. Who knows, other people might love the idea of a subscription based service but my opinion is that’s it’s not necessary to have whatsoever. I respect that developers will update, add and take away what they want in their apps, but please, take some of this and make this app more enjoyable for other people. PS, There is one more thing I’d like to address. When I went into the song book, I discovered that all the songs were unlocked, when I hadn’t even tried to pay for the subscription. Which I am not going to do, I’m sorry just not my thing. I hope that you guys can fix this error. Thanks for your time. (If you do read this)
