My Altitude

Got this app while driving in the mountains in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. My girlfriend got altitude sickness in Colorado. So for the rest of the trip we had to stay under 6000 feet for her not to get sick anymore. Which worked perfectly everywhere we went even when we lost our phone signal. It also has your coordinates. We actually got a little lost in Utah and had to use the coordinates with one of our roadmaps because our phones completely losing its signal and we couldn’t use the phones for navigation. This app worked perfectly. I tried two other apps before I picked this one. I’m sure glad I did because this app was great!

This is very useful application. It’s great to see a close approximation of the exact altitude while traveling or hiking. If you have health related issues or are just interested from an information perspective, it is all good. The information screen is well laid out and easy to read as well. Also, the developers have put a lot of thought in this useful application that I’ve used for over 2 years now. Thanks for reading my review and thanks to the developers for keeping it up to date. For anyone that is trying to use this application for accurate weather forecasting via use of barometer, the application is not calibrating based on height above sea level. This is critical for anyone taking part in outdoor activity where you want to check the current barometric pressure against a weather GRIB forecast predicted barometric pressure. By comparing the current pressure against forecast pressure you can validate if the weather is coming in faster, slower, or as expected ... super important if you're taking part in an activity where you’re at risk due to heavy weather The mean height above sea level feature does work well, and I validated height accuracy with other applications and station data, so I’ll keep the application for this data set to calibrate my barometer in another app. But the barometric pressure in this app is off by over 10mb for my location which makes the barometer in this application useless for practical purposes. I can confirm the reading given is sea level barometric pressure. Highly recommend the Starparh Marine Barometer for accurate barometric pressure readings to those whose wellbeing is correlated to what the weather is doing. Just plug in the height above sea level value and the application will calibrate barometric pressure for you.
