The review below still is legit, what isn’t is the pain involved in reconnecting to the App after a major vehicle maintenance that erased all settings. The instructions are at best hints. The need to use the website MyAudi’s ID when naming the Key User is not mentioned. The “security feature” of not speaking or leaving the password where you can see it makes getting the mixed character passcode right a royal pain. This is NOT a Banking App! Figuring it all out and getting it working took 90 minutes. If someone at Audi would take 90 minutes to write complete instructions the world would be a better place! I still love the functionality of this App and how it works with the Apple Watch. The watch widget displays one of six options. Tap it and you see the status of your car, fuel range, electric range, charging status, and charging control. Scroll down and you can see if your roof, windows or doors are open. You can lock and unlock the doors. The killer feature for south Texas? Remote climate control. I had to leave the house at 1:35pm for a 2pm meeting I told the App to be ready to roll at 1:35pm. It told the car and the car decided what to do to be comfortable at 1:35pm. It was perfect! I can actually look forward to full summer knowing that when I cross the 145F asphalt I’ll be climbing into a comfortable car. Thank you Audi!

I have been trying for over a month to get the app to purchase a simple WiFi program for my vehicle and to consistently login, with no success. Not even the service center can help….and they tried! This is a first world problem in a world where so much is going on. But if a company is going to put forth the effort to provide an app and promise certain results, I would like to think they would provide something decent. The app is very unstable and cannot process basic functionality, like even editing user information. I was told customer service I may have to try at least 5 times to get it changed…..that was over a month and several attempts ago. The poor functionality seems to be well known by even customer service. And they acknowledge it has been that way for quite a while. That is disappointing to say the least. Thankfully customer service has elevated the multiple errors I’m experiencing….after many failed requests to elevate. There has been no success in over two weeks time!! I cannot believe such a large player in the industry has put out such a bad product. I have an app from another vehicle that has never frozen nor failed to process changes or purchases, has never denied me access and has tons more functionality. I realize the rigor involved in producing an app like this is tough. That is not my problem with this entire process. I’d just like to think that a company like Audi would have put more effort into this product; and display an attitude that says enough to say ‘We care’. The lack of effort, lack of results and inattention seems to speak very unfavorably to care/concern for customer satisfaction and mindset towards product reliability.

I had been using this app and it was ok, pretty much just the basics - ability to locate the vehicle, unlock it, look up service locations, etc. After using their competitors app, the one from Affalterbach, I REALLY want remote start, even if the car shuts down when unlocked. Why VW/Audi can’t add basics like remote start, 360 auto-recording dash cams, and other such things for the premium that they charge on their vehicles and subscriptions; I don’t know?? One more thing that’s really annoying me - I ordered a new Audi from a local dealership, and I can’t even track status on the My Audi app. What’s up with that?? …tracking a car in manufacturing isn’t that challenging in today’s age of the modern factory and all I really want to know are the basics - is it being manufactured, is it delayed because of the chip shortage, is it being prepped for delivery to the dock, is it on a boat, did it arrive to the US, etc. I’m not asking to track every part of the manufacturing process. Anyways, hoping Audi realizes that it’s 2022, hires some real developers that can work close with the automotive engineers, and starts improving this app to impress people vs just have one for the sake of making their marketing team happy.
