I gotta say that the service is great, I mean, different than Uber of Lyft (in US) is quite fast & never have to wait more than 10 minutes and that is a lot. Beat is nice I like it, however I’ve got some repeated experiences with most of the drivers in Bogota that I have no idea why, still 2 blocks away or 2 minutes away from pickup point, text they have arrived when you CAN see them in the map they have NOT. I cannot understand why would they do that but still happens and you ask them and they come with the “ oh really?? I didn’t realize it or I don’t know..” Other than that, I’m happy with it and recommend it to everyone at least here in Bogota. It’s affordable and drivers are pretty nice & respectful.

The app was great and offered many advantages which through the recent changes were all negated. One can not choose a ride anymore. It was not a beauty contest but things like “are pets allowed, how big is the car can it accommodate many luggages and people is there an airconditioning and so on” are not known since randomly a driver is assigned. What’s the point then to use the app one. Am just as randomly hail one on the street or call a radio taxi. Car sharing to common destinations is also not a good idea. One may NOT want to share his cab!!! Or if 2 people are in a cab and 3 are looking for a ride and the driver gets assigned to this group one gets left out???? How does this work? And finally mandatory to give the exact destination which the driver does not see hmm I don’t believe that. Secondly why should there a database exist that registers where I go with a cab how often and so on.... that is similar to a police state. I am sorry but the changes make use of this app not particularly attractive definitely worse than the app of the parent company in Germany which kept all the attractive features !!!

It’s a good app because the prices are fixed, but a lot of times the taxi drivers “confirm arrival” when it’s obvious that we haven’t even started the ride. It seems like the driver does this to avoid getting a negative rating from the app? I don’t understand how they can do this when by GPS it’s obvious that we haven’t even arrived to location. Sometimes taxis can even confirm arrival when they are far away... It also takes forever in the mornings to find a taxi in Peru. For example, I’ve been requesting since 7:05am and finally at 7:36 I was able to get a taxi when the price has jumped by almost 50% because it’s now traffic hour. They should respect the price we were given since it’s quite frustrating when obviously I had been requesting at an early time to avoid this price. Quite disappointing. Beat doesn’t check the cars of the drivers. In order to get the better rate, the drivers lie about their cars. Seems like beat doesn’t check the drivers information.
