Call a Bike

The gps system does not work very well. The app does not recognize the location of the bike when dropping off and I get message that the bike is in the wrong place when it is not.

It is very handy how the app will show you where bikes are located, and the unlock feature works fine; however, the pause and lock features don’t work - on a 3 hour trip I couldn’t unlock once and couldn’t re-lock twice. Despite help from customer service, I was still charged multiple fees for associated with these problems, so the rental cost was more than twice what it should have been, and they won’t refund the extra fees. There are many rental bikes in Munich - I suggest you try to find a brand with better reviews!

The pause didn’t work so I was charged 10Euro since the bike had been parked outside of a station area. I tried to rent a few more bikes later in the day and the app failed each time - not consistent. Today (2weeks later), I received a 90Euro bill and I haven’t been in Berlin or Germany for 10days, apparently the meter was still running. Denying them via my credit card and will seek a correction on my account. Horrible experience for something that should be simple and enjoyable. Great idea, epic fail on execution and technology.
