The authentication only accepts German or other EU forms of identification…well hello programmer there are others here in your country that would like to use this app via "lastschrift" but can't since they don't possess a German or EU passport!

When setting up payment methods, it would seem that Americans and other non-European people wouldn’t be able to proceed.
I’m from the States and I simply entered my address as I normally would, but chose “Germany” for my country. Then I chose “Credit Card” because US debit cards won’t work as a debit card with the system HandyTicket is using. After that, I entered all of my Visa debit card information, validated it, and saved it.
Works perfectly. 🙂
