Venice City Travel Guide - GuidePal

This app helped make the over abundance of info and places to go around Venice easier to manage. We ate at many of the restaurants and bars recommended and were never disappointed. It was nice to be able to save them to "my trip" ahead of time and find them later and it was very useful even without a data connection. The offline map could use more detail/street names, but other than that a great app! Thanks!

Of all the free travel apps available for the iPhone, Guidepal apps, though not perfect, are my favorite. I like most of the Guidepal apps. And I travel A LOT! While there tends to be pretty good information and ideas, they need to do more to regularly update the apps. Most of the time the prices and/or open hours listed are wrong. This is important information for people who are trying to use the app but do not have wifi at the destination to check current rates and times. Guidepal needs to be very diligent about updating the app with current information.

The best I can say is that this App guide is pretty. Otherwise, all of the information is totally generic and seems designed to send tourists directly into tourist traps. It would also be really pricey to use while travelling as it wants to connect to the Internet which causes international users to get huge roaming charges.
