Useful app at sessions. It doesn’t always find the right tune, but I wouldn’t expect it to. The accuracy is pretty darn good though. Really happy the app was finally updated and now works offline! I also like that the app does not collect any personal data…all apps should be that way.
This is such a useful app for finding Irish tune names in a session (or even out of your head, if you can play a snippet of the tune on an instrument but can’t recall the title). It does have frequent back-end outages, which prevents tune name lookups and is annoying. It will save them as “Unsubmitted tags” that you can upload later for ID. But by then the moment is usually gone. Hopefully the developer can remedy this issue. Would even be worth a small annual subscription ($5-10) if more money would buy a better backend service.
All the rave reviews are nice, but, loaded on my iPad, wouldn’t record without the website connection. Played the sample tunes, Added a few tunes, and today it won’t play any of them. Can’t make the connection to find any help... ahhhh, technology. Glad others are having better luck.
