Since I had to wait on the road for 2hrs for the rescue team to show up, I was fuming within me for switching my long term customer relationship from AA to RAC, however Dayne (the RAC breakdown technician who attended the car) fixed the complex issue with his impeccable presence of mind and a handy solution. My car literally had the coolant breakout right in the heart of a traffic signal in Manchester. This was the worn hosepipe which broke and luckily the excessive smoke didn’t let into flames. Dayne recognised the issue right there and built confidence in me proclaiming that it can be fixed right there instead of towing it to a garage. He literally saved me from shelling out hundreds of £s. I admire his honesty and integrity. Made me feel that I’m in the safe hands. I couldn’t find this peace of mind in the last 4yrs of my experience with other breakdown services. RAC team, I’d request all members to give Dayne (Manchester technician) standing round of applause for his exemplary roadside assistance today. He is a grate value added asset to your team👏. Can’t thank him enough, because of him I couldn’t drive my vehicle back to Warwick with confidence 🙏.

The staff for your road side assistance to being helped, and towed to a safe place is brilliant . The chaps are always kind friendly assuring and hardworking , they are knights of the road . The only issue is accessing the app to ask for help initially to report a breakdown .. this is cumbersome since if there's no signal or gig bites or if the towers are far away then this has been difficult and stressful . My phone particularly and apple i phone could download the app but would not allow me to put in information on the app web page . I had to borrow another individual s phone to get through. In the end it was to a phone number .. this is much more helpful, something about talking with a person during crisis ensures the messages and communication of breakdown is much more clarified . On occasions of accessing the apps or website it has proved not possible due to signal errors with the phone and possibly battery requiring more energy to access a app than making a call . When talking with a person it is clearer and more efficient for both parties. This is my only complaint . All staff and mechanics especially Dan in the totnes area are brilliant . After a few years of this app just showing maps with red lines on hold ups or whatever, and symbols with no worded information making the app pretty much useless.........someone has listened to the comments from users and made it a bit more like the old RAC driver assist app. Now all I have to do is press a symbol, and it tells me what the problem is so I can make a decision whether to use the road or make a detour. The only issue I have is that even though I’ve selected fingerprint to log on I’m still only given the email and password option. Please can you sort this bug out? Now the app is worthy of five stars, please don’t let some young upstart of an app developer with a “new and fresh and innovative style or idea” break it again, therefore making it useless. I don’t want to have to change my review back to one star. If anyone does try just sack them.......easy peasy, who cares!
