I have recently gone self employed as a hairdresser, and beforehand was just asking clients to bank transfer. I’ve been put off getting a card machine due to the high fees but spot has been amazing and only takes 0.3%. Although it takes a little longer than a card payment I feel it looks a lot more professional than asking for a bank transfer. The money also arrives in your bank instantly which is great. Would highlight recommend to anyone freelance.

I have found this app very handy for all kinds of situations. I’ve paid my wife back for lending me cash (remember what that is) to get my hair cut, my daughter paid me back money I lent her to go on holiday and I even paid my handyman for building a flat-pack wardrobe, as all he had to do was send me a link requesting payment from his Spot app. I honestly can’t remember being able to pay people and get paid so quickly and easily. I love love love this app. Which reminds me, my friend owes me his share of the bill for dinner on Saturday night… no excuses now.
