ParkNYC: Street Parking

Went to pay for my parking and the meter said I could download the ParkNYC app to pay. I went to the App Store and when you type in Park NYC, the first thing you see is PARK NYC/Streeto. Ok this must be the correct app. I downloaded it and was trying to complete my account, and I kept getting messages that in app purchases weren’t allowed. I didn’t know what the heck that was about but I know disabling app purchases is something that Apple does for certain apps. Well this park NYC app has nothing to do with the app that New York City asks you to download to use to pay for parking. I don’t know what Park NYC Streeto is, but there was no way for me to pay for any parking, and the whole thing seems like some sort of scam. By using the name park, NYC, they’re clearly trying to copycat the official park NYC app and get you to download it. Don’t download it. It’s impossible to understand and it’s got some garbage unit about winning prizes or something. It seems more like a slot machine playing app to me. That was just a general impression I got, but I just deleted it so I can’t go back and confirm it. So if you wanna park in New York City, make sure you got the correct app. Do not download the one with the word Streeto in it

🙂Glad to have this app as avoiding tickets of any kind is a priority and this app works great. After seeing how well it works for a friend when we are out, I finally decided to download it and I don’t regret it.

It’s amazing! It saved me so much time to find a place to park. And I was able to make some money too.
