I am only using the Reekon M1 as of now and still use the app even though the M1 does not connect. I like that I can make a cut list and the utilities are great. However, one thing that makes me crazy every time I use the app…. Using the fractional calculator (one of the best and easiest I have used) Cannot be used without clicking on a project, then a space, and then an area. For quick measurement I’d like to just be able to click the fractional calculator button and open right up to it…. Not select a project or open any spaces. If that one single thing would have been implemented I’d give it a 5 star. I still use it, and it is very helpful, but to make things smoother and quicker for quick cuts, changing to option to have one button opening, would be a huge benefit
The tools are awesome by themselves, but this app takes it to a whole new level. I’m scratching my head that something like this didn’t exist a long time ago but we have it now Obviously, you have to be open minded to new technologies and methods but if you have a lot of measurements to take and organize this is a godsend. I hate installing new apps on my phone but this really enhances the tools. I thought Reekon was mostly a hardware company but it looks like they can write good software too. Now if I can just get my father-in-law to try it (big decking project coming up)…..
I own an M1 and use this ecosystem for DIY home renovation. I love that I can digitally load a bunch of baseboard or closet measurements then run out to my garage and make all the cuts. Gone are the days of not being able to read my hand writing on a chunk of wood or needing to run back into the house because I can’t remember a dimension. I look forward to getting a T1 and having the ability to transfer dimensions into the app direct from the device!
