Cake Sort Puzzle 3D

I totally love this game. So satisfying and addictive. I spent many an hour matching the cute cakes and watching them disappear, earning new cakes, trying to beat my high score. But I feel so taken advantage of that today I’m deleting it. People have mentioned the high ad content in other reviews. This is no joke. This game has at least 10x more ads than any game I’ve ever downloaded. One as about every 75 seconds. It’s incredibly expensive ($10) to opt out of ads. I’ve only paid that much for really complex games. $10 for a matching game seems outrageously high. Additionally, the game drains my phone battery like crazy and makes my phone really hot; like no game I’ve ever played before. Even on “battery saver” mode it’s only marginally better and if I play the game I know I’ll have to charge my phone as soon as I’m done. As others have also stated, there’s an option to save your choice of cakes out of the ones that you’ve earned, which doesn’t work. It’s a great idea because sometimes you’ll have several cakes the same color and want to switch one out. In order to save your choices you have to watch an ad (of course), but even after the ad runs your selections are not saved. Additionally, not often, but sometimes, the game totally freezes and the only way to continue is to quit and restart the game. This totally resets you to the beginning, so any progress you made is lost, which can be frustrating if you were approaching your high score. I kept playing even with all the frustrations for quite a while, but I’m done. It really feels like the game creators don’t care about the game experience at all, only about getting revenue for ads.

This simple addictive game is the only game I play every day. The latest update made it truly perfect in every way. When I first stumbled across it I immediately fell in love with the cute and delicious looking cakes and pies, and the fun puzzle mechanics. There’s something immensely satisfying about completing and clearing a cake. Up until recently my only complaint was that once I unlocked a new cake, an old one was removed, never to be seen again, and when there were no new cakes left, I was stuck with the latest set of cakes. BUT! I reached out to the developer and asked if they could make an update allowing us to choose our cakes from previously unlocked ones and ❤️❤️❤️❤️they did it 😍😍😍!!!! Now I truly have NO COMPLAINTS and love every aspect of this game. I’m even cool with paying the $10 for the ad-free version. I’m happy to spend a ONE TIME FEE for literally hours of enjoyment every day, every week. I only hope now that they don’t break this beautiful, perfect game. All other games I grew to love got ruined by greedy money-grab tactics, but this simple, absolutely wonderful game truly has it all. It’s relaxing, it stretches my brain without stressing me out, and when I am craving sugar it actually helps calm my cravings LOL. I bought the ad-free version and did not regret it. I don’t mind watching an ad to save a custom cake set, although it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out that it won’t save your custom set if you don’t have active cakes on your board, no matter how many ads you watch. I hope that little glitch will get resolved in a later update, but it’s easy enough to overlook once you realize what’s up.

This game is a great way to pass the time. The animation is satisfying and colorful, it’s easy to play and engaging. However it seems like there is an ad every five seconds and it is the same ones repeated over and over. Everything needs ads to be unlocked if you don’t wish to pay money and I understand beggars can’t be choosers but the sheer amount of ads surpasses that of any other game that I have downloaded. Also every ad seems to have particularly tricky x’s. I’m used to them being concealed/ moved but they’re clear and half cut off/missing. Recently I was trying to change my cake set up and use some eliminated cakes. It said I needed to watch an ad to save the change. Note this was just 1 cake out of multiple that I wanted to switch. I’m mildly annoyed but I understand the game has to make money somehow. I watch the video and go back to switch another cake but it just keeps saying I need to save. At first I thought maybe you can only change one but after watching the directions and observing the reset button I realized it hadn’t even saved the single one. I watched over three videos and still nothing. There is just too many little things piling up that bother me about this app in order for me to give it five stars. I wish I could because I genuinely enjoyed it in the beginning but over time it’s proven to be more hassle than fun.
