ChickFocus: Pomodoro Timer

I LOVE ChickFocus it was a lifesaver during finals week last semester to get me to study and I am absolutely going to use it during next semester as I’ve bought the permanent accessibility to the pro features. I adore many things about the app but a few things could be added and/or improved. All in all I really love this app and it does help you focus if you care about killing the animals. IMPROVEMENTS/ADDITIONS BELOW: Improvements: I’m not really sure if the cycle/break/rest part of the pomodoro timer works because whenever the timer is over it doesn’t automatically start a new cycle. You have to manually set the new timer which defeats the purpose of a cycle and rest timer. Additionally some of the animals don’t have death screens which is fine since you don’t really wanna encourage people to kill the animals but it’s just something I noticed. Additions: it would be really nice if you guys could add automations for the shortcut app on iPhone because it would allow people who really need to be forced to stay off their phone to start a session without having to open the app. I’m not sure how it works but it’s something to look into :) It would also be really neat if there was more you can do with the animals you raise like name them and they have their own personal screen when you tap on them to see their stats. Not too much because it could get distracting but I think it would be cute to be able to name the little guys. All in all I really love this app and it does help you focus if you care about killing the animals.

So I’ve wrote 3 reviews now and accidentally reset the page, so bear with me if I’m bare bones here. I love the app! Super minimalistic, easy to use, and the one thing I’ve enjoyed using, especially since it motivates me to study (I like seeing data and long study times, so it’s fun for that). My ONLY big issue is that, as a paying user, I don’t have unrestricted access to my data. I can’t delete a session if I accidentally forgot to stop it, and I can’t edit the time on it to adjust. If this was fixed, it would be the last thing I had an issue with (the other, which was adding session after the fact, has been added and it’s wonderful). Other features I’d love to see but are not essential: - Sceneries for the focus. Keep the minimalist as an option though. (This can be like, a field for the chicken to walk across, and can be bought with hearts) - Rewards for achievements. While motivating in general, adding new skins or sceneries as a reward would be awesome. - Colorful tags. Simple addition that would bring color to the app. Also adds diversity between tags and customization. Should be a toggle to allow minimalists to keep the simple colorless look. - Wish I could see other menus while focusing, without ending my focus, especially on Loose mode. This is a really small one. - More graphs would be nice, but unnecessary at this point. Too Long Didn’t Read: Nearly perfect app. PLEASE add unrestricted access to edit data. More info above. So adorable! Clean, cute and very functional. I’ve tried so many productivity apps, but this app and the Pomocat app have been the best for me personally because of how clean, simple, user friendly and most of all cute the app is compared to other mainstream productivity apps in the market which have a tendency to convolute their apps and clutter their interface with meaningless features. But as a cat lover, I would really love for there to be more customizable cat features, especially in the farm and for the sounds and such. Since cats apps are very popular, I’m sure this will be great marketing wise too. Also, minor gripe, but more customizable fonts would be great, because I’m not the biggest fan of the current font lol. Other than that, keep it up! I can tell the app has come a long way just from reading older reviews.
